unibersidadngpilipinas: The University of the Philippines - Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors (UP CIEM), University of the Philippines - Academic League of Chemical Engineering Students (UP ALCHEMES), University of the Philippines - Alliance for Responsive Involvement and Student Empowerment (UP ARISE), University of the Philippines ALYANSA (UP ALYANSA), University of the Philippines - Association of Computer Science Majors (UP CURSOR), and University of the Philippines - Gears and Pinions (UP GP’s), are duly recognized student organizations in the University. The said organizations cater to the UP community with a mission to promote academic excellence, leadership, nationalism, oneness, and social responsibility. Rarely do UP Engineering Organizations converge to make a significant impact in our society. In light of this, we will be holding a three-day university-wide event entitled JUANTED, a social awareness campaign focused on increasing volunteerism and Filipino pride among students and youth in general. As scholars of the premier state university of the country, we believe that we can become instruments in initiating and strengthening social activism throughout the country.
